Defending champions Gujarat Titans will take on four-time winners Chennai Super Kings in the opening match of IPL 2023. The match will be a battle between two generations of Indian cricket. At one side will be CSK skipper MS Dhoni, who took Indian cricket to new heights of success in the late 2000s to early 2010s by clinching the inaugural ICC T20 World Cup (2007), ICC Cricket World Cup (2011) and ICC Champions Trophy (2013) and became the only skipper to win three major titles.

Dhoni replicated this success in IPL, leading the team to the title on four occasions. On the other side is GT skipper Hardik Pandya, who was pushed into superstardom after leading GT to the title in their debut season. Pandya has also led India to some wins at the international level in the shorter format and is making a case for himself as a future white-ball skipper.

Hardik Pandya-led Gujarat Titans will be facing a huge weight of expectations after clinching the title in their debut season. To prove that their title win was not a fluke, they would have to start this season well against the four-time champions Chennai Super Kings.

Tushar Deshpande Makes History, Becomes First 'Impact Player' Of IPL 2023

Tushar Deshpande created history by becoming the first 'Impact Player' in the history of the Indian Premier League.  Deshpande replaced Ambati Rayudu for Chennai Super Kings during the IPL 2023 opener against Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Friday. The five substitute players named for the side ahead of the match were - Tushar Deshpande, Subhranshu Senapati, Shaik Rasheed, Ajinkya Rahane, Nishant Sindhu. On the other hand, GT named B Sai Sudharsan, Jayant Yadav, Mohit Sharma, Abhinav Manohar, KS Bharat as their substitutes. The Impact Player rule was implemented for the first time in this year's edition of the tournament after the Board for Cricket Control in India (BCCI) tested it out during the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy tournament.

Here's a look at all the major rule changes for IPL 2023 –

Playing XIs After Toss: The 16th edition of the league would now see the playing XIs being named after the toss. Earlier, the trend was that the captains of both teams give their team sheets to the match referee before the toss. This would not happen anymore.

Impact Player: The 'Impact Player' rule would now see the teams being allowed to substitute a player into the playing XI at any point in the game. The substitute player can bat, bowl and field but would not be able to lead the team as captain.

DRS For Wide, No-Balls: The IPL 2023 season would also see DRS calls being made for wides and no-balls. The players would be allowed to review wide-ball and no-ball calls by the on-field umpires. It is a welcome move, considering the controversies that had erupted in the past few seasons.

Unfair Movement: Wicket-keepers can now be penalised for making 'unfair movements' behind the stumps. If a wicketkeeper shuffles before the batter hits the ball, it would be considered an 'unfair movement'.

Penalty For Slow Over-Rates: Slow over-rates by teams will now warrant a penalty. The 20-over quota has to be finished by a team within 90 minutes. If that doesn't happen, an extra player would need to be placed inside the 30-yard circle over every over bowled beyond the time limit.

"Right Now There Is Only One": Jonty Rhodes Picks 'World's Best Fielder'

Former South Africa player and star fielder Jonty Rhodes has picked the world's best fielder and it is none other than India's Ravindra Jadeja. While his all-round abilities with the bat and the bowl are just amazing, Jadeja is a gun fielder and stands out from the crowd in that domain. From pulling off breathtaking catches to effecting some sensational and crucial run-outs in the game, the star all-rounder has impressed one and all with his fielding on the ground. Jadeja rarely has have an off day in that beat.

When asked about the top three fielders in world cricket, Rhodes took only one name.

"Right now there is only one - Ravindra Jadeja," said the former South Africa star to Times of India in an interview.

Meanwhile, Rhodes credited the Indian Premier League for raising the standard of fielding.

The mega event started in the year 2008. So far, 15 editions of IPL have taken place and players have shown great level of fielding over the years. From boundary line catches to some stunning takes inside the circle, there is hardly any quality catch that would be missing in IPL.

"Only when IPL began, people really started focusing on fielding. Not every team had fielding coaches. There was enough time in 50-over matches. You had 3-4 good fielders and 6-7 guys didn't do great. But once IPL started, we saw growth in fielding. Since 2008, around 12-13 years have been amazing. Earlier, people spoke about fielding but there were only 3-4 good individuals. But now, as a team we have seen the growth of fielding go through the roof," said Rhodes.

Students Protest At Chennai Art Centre Over Sexual Harassment Charges

Around 200 students staged a protest on Thursday at Kalakshetra Foundation, a top arts and cultural academy in Chennai, demanding justice for the survivors of alleged sexual harassment by four male faculty members.

The students held placards saying "We want justice" and shouted slogans against the administration and the National Commission for Women (NCW), which they have accused of dismissing their complaints.

The protest came a day after NCW chairperson Rekha Sharma made an unscheduled visit to the Kalakshetra campus. She met with the director, Revathi Ramachandran, and some of the faculty members.

Students say she asked them to tell her in public, in the presence of students and faculty members about incidents of sexual harassment.

"She asked one by one, 'were you molested, were you molested'. Is that the way to do an enquiry? Their aim is to cover it up," a woman student said. A former student of the academy added, "This has been going on for years."

On what kind of harassment survivors faced, one student said, "It's sexual messaging, abuse if we resist, low grades are given and no dance opportunity no matter how good we are."

Another said, "Over the years many were sexually abused... remember we are talking about 18- or 19-year-old girls who can't dare to complain."

Ms Sharma had also earlier asked the state police chief C Sylendra Babu not to pursue the matter as the main complainant denied allegations of sexual harassment during questioning by the internal complaints committee of the institute.

Earlier this week, in a report, the body had claimed the allegations of sexual misconduct by the faculty members at Kalakshetra were "disinformation".

"None who is involved in any unsavoury activity will be spared," Ms Ramachandran said. She said the people facing allegations have been questioned and the board will consider taking action as per the law.

Kalakshetra Foundation, founded in 1936 by dancer Rukmini Devi Arundale, is an institute of national importance that offers courses in Bharatanatyam dance, Carnatic music and other traditional arts. It is known for its high standards of excellence and discipline, and has produced many eminent artists over the decades.

The sexual harassment scandal has shaken the institution and its alumni, who have expressed solidarity with the students and their dismay over the handling of the issue. Some prominent artists, such as singer TM Krishna, have also spoken out against Kalakshetra's response and called for a thorough investigation.

"As you know, no process of enquiry will be effective unless the atmosphere is caring and compassionate towards those who are alleging sexual abuse, in these cases, young students and alumni. When the place is so hierarchical, no one will speak freely and fearlessly," Mr Krishna said in a statement.

PS 2 Trailer: Aishwarya AKA Nandini Is Back To Seek Revenge From Cholas

Finally, the much-awaited trailer of magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan 2 was released on Wednesday. The 3-minute-long trailer, starring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi and Trisha Krishnan, offers a sneak peek into the sequel with some breathtaking visuals and action sequence. The trailer starts with the news of Arunmozhi Varman aka Ponniyin Selvan's (played by Jayam Ravi) death. In the next frame, we can see some power-packed action sequences led by Aditha Karikalan (played by Vikram), who has been offered to rule the other half of the Chola Kingdom. 

However, it seems Arunmozhi Varman aka Ponniyin Selvan is alive as Kundavai (played by Trisha) questions him about who saved his life, to which he answers, "Nandini". Next, we see Nandini planning to avenge the death of her father as she can be heard saying, "We will destroy the Cholas." Towards the end of the trailer, Nandini, who plays the love interest of Aditha Karikalan, comes face to face him.

Ponniyin Selvan 2 is based on Kalki Krishnamurthy's novel of the same name. The first part of the film narrates the early life of Chola prince Arunmozhi Varman. Ponniyin Selvan: I garnered immense praise from the audience and critics. Also, it was a great hit at the box office. 

Ponniyin Selvan 2 will hit the theatres on April 28.

Ex-Meta COO Sheryl Sandberg's Shares Pics From Her "Delayed Honeymoon"

Sheryl Sandberg, former Chief Operating Officer of Meta, tied the knot with businessman Tom Bernthal in an intimate ceremony in August last year. Recently, she took to Facebook to share pictures of her "delayed honeymoon" in Japan. 

The executive and Mr Bernthal's three-part honeymoon began a month after their wedding with a week in Sydney and was followed by a week in Morocco in October.

"Just returned from (delayed) honeymoon week 3 - Japan - with my still-new and ever-more-amazing husband Tom Bernthal. As he always does, Tom planned every minute of our week together from long walks to unique experiences and incredible food," she wrote in the caption. 

The couple had a special meal at Ete, a French restaurant in Tokyo, where Chef Natsuko Shoji was just named the finest woman chef in Asia and one of the best chefs in the world.

Ms Sandberg added, "For our final night, Tom arranged a special honeymoon dinner at Ete, where Chef Natsuko Shoji was recently named the best woman chef in Asia and one of the top chefs in the world. In a field dominated by men, Chef Shoji stands out for her talent and graciousness. Each course was delicious and beautifully presented."

She thanked the chef for a "memorable evening" and also shared a sweet message for her husband. "Thank you, Chef Shoji, for a truly memorable evening and Tom, for a truly memorable trip. Being your wife just gets better and better," the former Meta executive concluded.

Since being shared, her post has amassed over six thousand reactions and several comments.

"So happy for you," said a user.

"Congratulations Sheryl Sandberg and Tom. You look very happy. "The world is your oyster," commented another person.

Indian-Origin Man Stabs Canadian National To Death Outside Starbucks

An Indian-origin man stabbed a 37-year man outside Canada's Vancouver Starbucks cafe and was charged with second-degree murder, Global News reported citing local police.

The suspect, 32-year-old Inderdeep Singh Gosal, was arrested at the scene.

Paul Stanley Schmidt, 37, was stabbed outside the cafe at the corner of Granville and West Pender streets around 5:40 pm on Sunday following a "brief altercation," according to police. After the incident, he was taken to the hospital where he took his last breath.

Schmidt's mother, Kathy, said he was at Starbucks with his wife and his young daughter, according to Global News.

"Paul lived for his wife and his daughter... that was his whole life," Kathy said over the phone, adding, "This man has ruined so many lives."

Vancouver police spokesperson Sgt. Steve Addison said police are appealing for more witnesses and video to help them determine a motive in the killing.

"There's a significant amount of evidence to tell us what happened. What we are focusing on now is why did this happen. What are the events that transpired in the moments leading up to this very serious crime ... that's something that may take some time for us to fully understand," he said.

"We believe there are people likely nearby, people who witnessed it, people who were in the area who can help us to understand those questions," he added.

Giving more details about the incident, Alex Bodger, an eyewitness to the incident, said it was very traumatising to see and hear, reported Global News.

"It's not something you think you would see walking down the street in Vancouver on a Sunday," he said.

Bodger said the suspect went back into the Starbucks shop after the stabbing and all he could hear was people screaming.

"Every time I think about the situation I get this feeling in my chest which is pure fear," he added.

Police don't believe the two men knew each other, and Addison said the circumstances leading to the stabbing remain under investigation.

He added that a video of the incident is circulating on social media, and appealed to the public not to share it further, according to Global News.

"It's a graphic video. We are encouraging people not to share that video. We are encouraging people, if you've got video, if you are a bystander, if you are a witness, please come forward and speak to our investigators, provide it to our investigators," he said.

"Please don't share it on social media. What you have could be important evidence in this very serious case," he added.

Rahul Gandhi Will Need Civic Body's Clearance Before Vacating Bungalow

Disqualified Lok Sabha member Rahul Gandhi will require a no-objection certificate from the New Delhi Municipal Council before vacating his official bungalow, an official said on Monday.

The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC), which looks after water and electricity supplies in these Central Public Works Department bungalows, has been marked a copy of the Lok Sabha Housing Committee's letter asking Mr Gandhi to vacate his accommodation.

"Our role is not related to property but civic amenities. We look into water and electricity supplies in the area… Before vacating the bungalow, Rahul Gandhi will need to take an NOC (no-objection certificate) from the NDMC," the civic official said.

Mr Gandhi was on Monday asked to vacate the government bungalow at 12, Tughlaq Lane by April 22 and follows his disqualification from the Lok Sabha last week.

A local court in Gujarat convicted Mr Gandhi in a criminal defamation case on March 23 and sentenced him to two years in jail. The two-year jail term triggered his disqualification as a Lok Sabha member from the date of the verdict.

The notification for Mr Gandhi to vacate the bungalow was marked to various departments, including the Directorate of Estates.

A senior official said a disqualified Lok Sabha member has to vacate the official bungalow within a month of losing his membership.

Sources said Gandhi can write to the Housing Committee seeking an extension, and the panel can take a decision depending on the validity of the reasons cited by him.

Johnny Depp Relocates To UK Following Defamation Trial Against Amber Heard

Actor Johnny Depp, who gained immense popularity during the highly publicised defamation trial against his ex-wife Amber Heard, has now moved to Somerset, in the United Kingdom. He stated that he prefers living a quiet life in the country, as per a report in the Independent, citing Somerset Life Magazine. 

The Downton Abbey-like residence, Somerset Mansion, with its 12 bedrooms and eight baths spread across 850 acres, was bought by the 59-year-old actor for 13 million pounds in 2014.

"I just love places with character. I have various houses in various places and they all mean something special. I don't have them just to say I own them, I have them for use and because they are a bit special," he told the magazine. 

He further said that "one of the many things I love about Britain" is that "everywhere you go there is history and buildings with great character."

The 'Pirates Of The Caribbean' star continued by saying that he can now enter stores "without being surrounded by people wanting selfies," which he doesn't mind "up to a point," but it might occasionally get "a little too crowded."

Mr Depp added, "British people are cool and will greet you as if you are a neighbour - without going over the top. I like going to places, seeing things and meeting people - but I'm not the great extrovert that people think."

"In truth, I'm quite a shy person," he continued. "That's one of the great things about Britain, and especially Somerset. I can just be me - and that's nice," Mr Depp remarked.

In December, it was reported that Mr Depp and his ex-wife Amber Heard settled their defamation case, with the actress agreeing to pay her former husband $1 million over claims he physically abused her. In a post on Instagram, Ms Heard said she was dropping an appeal against the $10 million payout she had been ordered to make by a jury because she "simply cannot go through" another trial.

"After a great deal of deliberation, I have made a very difficult decision to settle the defamation case. I make this decision having lost faith in the American legal system, where my unprotected testimony served as entertainment and social media fodder," the Aquaman actress said.

Jadeja Promoted To Top BCCI Contract Group; Rohit, Virat, Bumrah Retained

Star India allrounder Ravindra Jadeja has made a big jump to the top category in the latest BCCI contracts list announced on Sunday night. While earlier there were three players in the top category (A+, Rs 7 crore), now there are four. India captain Rohit Sharma, former skipper Virat Kohli and star pacer Jasprit Bumrah have retained their place in the top category announced by the Indian cricket board. Jadeja was a vital cog in India's Border-Gavaskar Trophy win over Australia earlier this month. He picked 22 wickets during the four-match series, and also played a handy role with the bat. According to a BCCI statement, the annual contract is dated from October 2022 to September 2023. 

Meanwhile, all-rounder Hardik Pandya, Ravichandran Ashwin, Rishabh Pant, Mohammed Shami and Axar Patel will earn Rs 5 crore annually, after having been placed in the A category.

In the B category, Cheteshwar Pujara, KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, Mohammed Siraj, Suryakumar Yadav and Shubman Gill will earn Rs 3 crore annually.

A total of 11 players, including Umesh Yadav, Shikhar Dhawan, Shardul Thakur, have been placed in the C category. They will be paid Rs 1 crore by the board.

Wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson, KS Bharat and pacer Arshdeep Singh are the newest entrants in the latest central contracts announced by the BCCI. They have all been placed in the C category.

Innocent was diagnosed with cancer in 2012 and had been hospitalised earlier this month after having difficulties breathing.

Senior Congress leader Shashi Tharoor condoled the former Lok Sabha MP's death and said that he was a brilliantly inventive and gifted actor.

Ex-Lakshadweep MP Approaches Supreme Court Against Lok Sabha Secretariat

Disqualified Lakshadweep MP Mohammed Faizal has moved the Supreme Court against the Lok Sabha Secretariat for not withdrawing a notification disqualifying him as a Member of Parliament upon his conviction and 10-year sentence, which was later suspended by the Kerala High Court. 

Faizal stood disqualified from the membership of Lok Sabha from January 11, the date of his conviction in an attempt to murder case by a sessions court in Kavaratti, according to a notification issued on January 13 by the Lok Sabha Secretariat.

In his petition filed in the top court through advocate K R Sasiprabhu, Faizal said the L S Secretariat failed to withdraw the notification despite the fact that his conviction was stayed by the high court on January 25. 

"The petitioner is constrained to invoke the extraordinary jurisdiction of this court under Article 32 of the Constitution of India, against the unlawful inaction on the part of the respondent, Secretary General of the Lok Sabha Secretariat in not withdrawing the notification dated January 13, 2023, whereby the petitioner was disqualified from his membership of Parliament from the Lakshadweep parliamentary constituency," the plea said. 

It further claimed that the respondent's inaction is in the "teeth of the settled law" that disqualification incurred by a Member of Parliament (MP) under section 8 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, ceases to operate if the conviction is stayed by the appellate court under section 389 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

"It is pertinent to note that the Election Commission, by taking note of the correct legal position, recalled the by-election press note dated January 18, 2023," it said.

The plea said the Lok Sabha Secretariat has not revoked the disqualification notification despite various representations and Faizal was denied participation in the Budget Session of the Parliament as well as the ongoing session.

The trial court had on January 11 convicted and sentenced him to 10 years imprisonment in the case.

Later, the high court stayed the conviction and the sentence imposed upon Faizal, who filed an appeal against the trial court verdict.

In January, the Union Territory (UT) of Lakshadweep moved the top court challenging the January 25 order of the high court which had suspended his conviction and sentence till the disposal of the appeal before it.

On February 20, the top court had issued notice to Faizal and others on the plea filed by Lakshadweep.

Porsche Chief Divorcing Wife Because Of Her Dementia-Like Illness: Report

The billionaire executive of the luxury car brand Porsche, Wolfgang Porsche, is divorcing his wife because of her "dementia-like illness", according to a report in New York Post. Citing the German publication Bild, the outlet said that the 79-year-old mogul finds it "impossible" to live with his 74-year-old wife Claudia Porsche, whose failing health has irrevocably changed her personality. 

The Bild report further said that the business tycoon, who started dating Claudia in 2007 and married her in 2019, is said to have given these "drastic changes" to her personality as well as her illness as reasons for their split.

According to the outlet, Ms Claudia, a former adviser to the German government, has been unable to move without assistance for months. She has been dependent on her daughter and four housekeepers for round-the-clock care for the past two years.

The outlet further said that her soon-to-be ex-husband has recently been hanging out with his longtime friend, 59-year-old Gabriela Prinzessin zu Leiningen.

Mr Wolfgang Porsche presently holds the position of chairman of the supervisory board for both Porsche AG and Porsche Automobil Holding SE. The businessman is the eldest son of former Porsche AG designer and CEO Ferdinand Porsche Jr and Dorothea Reitz, whose family's holdings are believed to be worth $22 billion. Porsche AG was founded by his great-grandfather, Ferdinand Porsche Sr.

Man Stabs 4 Neighbours To Death In Mumbai, Arrested: Cops

A 54-year-old man allegedly stabbed four neighbours to death and injured another at a residential building in south Mumbai today, police said.

The grisly incident took place around 3.30 pm at Parvati Mansion on Grant Road, an official said, adding that the accused was soon arrested.

The man's wife and children had left him two months ago, and he suspected that his neighbours had instigated them, the official said.

He had been mentally disturbed ever since, and on Friday, upon spotting his neighbours, he went to his house, picked up a knife and allegedly attacked five persons from neighbouring families.

The injured were rushed to a private hospital in Girgaum and civic-run Nair hospital where a couple, Jayendra and Neela Mistry, and two more women died during treatment, the official said.

Another man was undergoing treatment.

After the incident, the accused locked himself inside a room in the building.

He refused to come out when the police reached the spot, but relented when they threatened to "break the door and hit" him, said the official.

Police took him into custody and also recovered the knife used in the attack.

He allegedly admitted to the crime while telling the officials that he was disturbed after his family members abandoned him.

Though visibly mentally disturbed, he was not undergoing any medical treatment, the official said.

A First Information Report (FIR) under sections 302 (murder) and 307 (attempt to murder) of the Indian Penal Code was registered at D B Marg police station and probe is underway, the official added.

"PM Modi Also Commented On Nehru Surname": AAP MLA Saurabh Bhardwaj

AAP leader and Delhi minister Saurabh Bhardwaj hit out at the Centre over the jail sentence of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in a defamation case, saying while the Congress leader's remark using the 'Modi' surname was wrong, it was unfair to single him out as Prime Minister Narendra Modi had also commented on the Nehru surname. 

Earlier, on Thursday, the Surat district court sentenced Rahul Gandhi to two years of imprisonment in a criminal defamation case filed against him for his alleged remark using the Modi surname at a campaign meeting in Karnataka for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

The court later approved Rahul Gandhi's bail while suspending his sentence for a period of 30 days during which he can challenge his conviction in a higher court.

Weighing in on Rahul Gandhi's conviction and sentence, the AAP MLA said, "We have serious political differences with Rahul Gandhi and his party and they will remain going forward. However, we do oppose the way Opposition leaders are being implicated in false cases. The message that's going out loud and clear is that anyone questioning this government will be implicated in false cases."

"Defamation laws have been in vogue for years but weren't misused by previous governments to target Opposition leaders. They are not letting Opposition leaders speak. Their sole objective is to crush anyone who questions the central government. This can't be tolerated in a democracy. The divergence of voices is the cornerstone of democracy and one of the thumb rules of a democratic setup like ours is that the Opposition will raise questions. If the government of the day resorts to splitting hairs and filing a defamation suit in every case, that's not fair. The CBI and the ED are being used to get back at the Opposition. What we are seeing now is very similar to what happened during the Emergency," Mr Bhardwaj said.

"What Rahul-ji said using the Modi surname was wrong. But it's not fair to single him out as Prime Minister Narendra Modi had also made a comment using the Nehru surname. He mocked the country's first Prime Minister. If two leaders make fun of each other's surnames and only one is punished, then that's not fair. I believe our political class should be more tolerant. It's not right for leaders to be jailed for minor offences," the AAP leader added.

"The BJP is setting the wrong precedent. If Opposition-ruled states, too, catch this trend, the BJP leaders would find it difficult to open their mouths. The BJP may be in power at the Centre today but tomorrow, it could be someone else," the AAP leader said.

Claiming that the Congress never stood up for the AAP when its leaders were targeted by the Centre, Mr Bhardwaj said, "Rising above political differences, Arvind Kejriwal is standing in support of Rahul Gandhi today. I am happy that Kejriwal-ji is doing what Rahul-ji never did."

Taking to Twitter earlier on Thursday, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal posted, "There is a conspiracy to eliminate non-BJP leaders and parties by prosecuting them. We have differences with Congress, but it is not right to implicate Rahul Gandhi in a defamation case like this. It is the job of the public and the opposition to ask questions. We respect the court but disagree with the decision."

Aadhaar-PAN Linking: These Individuals Are Exempt From This Mandate

The last day to link a Permanent Account Number (PAN) with Aadhaar is March 31, 2023. According to the income tax department, failure to do so will lead to the unlinked PAN becoming inoperative. 

A circular issued by the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) said once a PAN becomes inoperative, an individual shall be liable for all the consequences under the I-T Act and will have to suffer a number of implications.

The person shall not be able to file an I-T return using the inoperative PAN; pending returns will not be processed; pending refunds cannot be issued to inoperative PANs; pending proceedings, as in the case of defective returns, cannot be completed once the PAN is inoperative; and tax will be required to be deducted at a higher rate.

The provisions of the Income-tax Act make it mandatory for every person who has been allotted a PAN to intimate his or her Aadhaar number to the prescribed authority so that the Aadhaar and PAN can be linked.

However, there are a few people who are exempt from the compulsion. They do not have to mandatorily link their PAN with their Aadhaar.

As per the 2017 notification issued by the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT), the Aadhaar-PAN linkage requirement does not apply to these four types of people.

1. Individuals who reside in the states of Assam, Jammu and Kashmir, and Meghalaya
2. Individuals who are Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) as per the Income-tax Act, 1961
3. Individual of the age of eighty years or more at any time during the previous year.
4. A person who is not a citizen of India.

The Aadhaar-PAN linking was free before March 31, 2022. A fee of Rs 500 was imposed from April 1, 2022, and was later increased to Rs 1,000 from July 1, 2022.

A massive metal asteroid between Mars and Jupiter is known as 16 Psyche.

According to Forbes, 16 Psyche, a 140-mile-wide (226-kilometer-wide) asteroid could contain a core of iron, nickel, and gold worth $10,000 quadrillion.

The scientists are trying to explore this asteroid for a great comparison of its composition versus Earth's. NASA's planned Psyche mission is a program to explore this metal-rich asteroid, which could be launched this year.

According to the NASA, one of the most intriguing targets in the main asteroid belt is Psyche, a giant metal-rich asteroid that is about three times farther away from the Sun than Earth. Its average diameter is about 140 miles (226 kilometers)-about one-sixteenth the diameter of the earth's moon or about the distance between Los Angeles and San Diego.

The space agency further mentioned that Psyche might be the partial core of a shattered planetesimal-a small world the size of a city or small country that is the first building block of a planet. If it is, asteroid Psyche can offer a close look at the interior of terrestrial planets like Earth, which is normally hidden beneath layers of mantle and crust.

Astronomers on Earth have studied Psyche in visible and infrared wavelengths, as well as radar, which suggests Psyche is shaped somewhat like a potato.

How Asteroid Psyche Got Its Name

Steve Smith was left embarrassed after a horrible review that forced Virat Kohli and even his teammate Marnus Labuschagne to laugh out loud during the third ODI encounter between India and Australia in Chennai on Wednesday. During the 10^th over of the innings, Kohli chased a delivery from Sean Abbott outside the off-stump and most Australia fielders were convinced that he edged it to the keeper. Smith went for the review but the replays should that the ball was nowhere close to the bat and the third umpire did not even bother to check the ultra-edge. Smith was visibly sheepish after the replay was shown and Kohli could not help but laugh at Smith's decision to take the review.

India were in control after pegging Australia back at 138 for 5 but a 58-run stand between Carey and Marcus Stoinis for the sixth wicket and 42 for the eighth wicket between Sean Abbott (26) and Ashton Agar (17) took them close to 250 while Mitchell Starc and Adam Zampa added 22 precious runs for the final wicket.

What looked like a good toss to win for Australia after Mitchell Marsh (47 off 47 balls) and Travis Head (33 off 31 balls) put on 68 for the opening stand didn't seem so as Pandya bowled three different deliveries in his first three overs to completely seize the momentum in favour of the hosts.

Singer Sonu Nigam's Father Robbed Of Rs 72 Lakh, Former Driver Arrested

A former driver of singer Sonu Nigam's 76-year-old father has been booked for allegedly stealing Rs 72 lakh from the senior citizen's home in Mumbai, an official said on Wednesday.

The singer's father Agamkumar Nigam lives at Windsor Grand building in Oshiwara, Andheri west, and the alleged theft took place between March 19 and March 20, he said.

Sonu Nigam's younger sister Nikita approached the Oshiwara police station in the early hours of Wednesday with a complaint about the alleged theft, he said.

As per the complaint, Agamkumar Nigam had a driver named Rehan for nearly 8 months but removed him recently as his performance was not satisfactory, the official said.

On Sunday afternoon, he visited Nikita's home in the Versova area for lunch and returned after some time. In the evening, he called his daughter to inform her that Rs 40 lakh was missing from a digital locker kept in a wooden cupboard, the official said citing the complaint.

The next day, Agamkumar Nigam went to his son's home at 7 Bungalows for some visa-related work and returned in the evening. He found another Rs 32 lakh missing from the locker, which was not damaged, said the official.

Agamkumar Nigam and Nikita checked the CCTV footage of his society which showed his former driver Rehan going towards his flat with a bag on both days when he was away, the official said.

According to the complaint, Agamkumar suspects Rehan entered his flat with the help of a duplicate key and stole Rs 72 from the digital locker in the bedroom, he said.

On Nikita's complaint, the Oshiwara police registered a first information report (FIR) under Indian Penal Code sections 380, 454 and 457 for theft and trespassing for housebreaking, said the official, adding that an investigation is underway.
