Sachin Bansal has problem with HDFC's new app

Digital economy is penetrating India at a fast pace as is evident from a large number of people using digital banking and payment apps on mobile phones. It is unusual for India's biggest private bank to be struggling to run its mobile app smoothly. The HDFC mobile app is still down a week after it malfunctioned. Even Flipkart co-founder Sachin Bansal, who along with his partner Binny Bansal, built a large business of online retail, is surprised. Many customers have also complained of being unable to use netbanking from HDFC website.In this day and age, how can the largest private bank of India do this?! https://t.co/VUfmdAMJDN— Sachin Bansal (@_sachinbansal) 1543765432000 In response to complaints, HDFC Bank has issued an apology stating that following the launch of its new m-banking app, it has been experiencing extremely heavy traffic on its online channel. “Due to this, some customers are unable to log in to the mobile-banking app. We are aware of this issue and our teams are working round the clock to resolve it,” the bank said.According to a bank spokesperson, there was no issue with internet banking and the lender was advising customers to use the net-banking platform, missed-call banking or phone banking.
