MUMBAI: State-owned online Metal Scrap Trade Corporation (MSTC) is in talks with private airlines like Indigo, GoAir and SpiceJet for logistical support for bringing in more perishable products within its trading portfolio, a person aware of the development said. The company is also in touch with Delhi-based startup Rivigo to provide logistics support. A mail sent to MSTC remained unanswered. The company sells agricultural and horticultural products like ginger and pineapples from north eastern states, litchi and fox nut from Bihar, onions from Nashik through its platform e-RaKAM that aims at selling produce by farmers online. Through the platform it also sells stocks of onions, pulses, oil seeds cereals etc, procuring them from HAFED ( Haryana State Co-operative Supply and Marketing Federation Limited) and NAFED (National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India). MSTC got listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Friday. Last week it's initial share sale saw the stock being subscribed 1.46 times. Based out of Kolkata , MSTC primarily deals with the e-auctioning of metal scrap.
