Telecom company Vodafone Idea, recently rebranded as Vi, has become the co-presenting sponsor of Indian Premier league (IPL) 2020 along with gaming company Dream11."Vi has acquired the co-sponsorship rights of the live broadcast of T-20 premier league which will be held in Abu Dhabi, UAE and telecast on the Star Sports network," Vi said in a statement on Saturday.The sponsorship announcement comes after the telecom carrier launched the unified brand Vi, having completed the integration of Voddafone India and Idea Cellular. Dream11 had won the title sponsorship rights of the 53-day cricket event for Rs 222 crore last month after Smartphone company Vivo dropped out of the this year's sponsorship.Kavita Nair, Chief Digital Transformation & Brand Officer, Vodafone Idea Limited said, "Our association with Dream11 IPL 2020 will provide Vi, instant connect with millions of viewers, and I am confident that this will not only help build awareness of Vi but also help in building relevance and customer confidence."
