Sonam Wangchuk leads march in Leh

Srinagar: Climate activist Sonam Wangchuk led a march in Leh along with members of civil society organisation Apex Body Leh Wednesday, on the eve of the anniversary of the death of four people during a protest seeking statehood and constitutional safeguards for the union territory.The Kargil Democratic Alliance held a similar march in Kargil, where hundreds of people participated, including members of the Socialist Party of India and a group of students from Delhi University.Members of the Apex Body Leh and the Kargil socio-political organisations plan to hold a big gathering at a stadium in Leh Thursday in remembrance of the people killed on September 24, 2025.
